Summary (7)

Absolute Poker is a top-notch provider of online poker and continues to be an industry leader when it comes to player satisfaction. Over the past few years Absolute Poker has grown to a fairly large poker room with most of its traffic concentrated in lo-limit Hold’em. There is always tons of action and their software is excellent with many advanced features including hand history, find-a-friend, player and table statistics, etc. Also allows play on up to 3 tables simultaneously as well as plenty of short-handed tables for the action junkies. The site is currently endorsed by tournament poker pro Mark Seif who took home 2 World Series of Poker bracelets at this year's event. The poker traffic during peak hours reaches 13,000+ with approximately 2,500 real money ring & tournament players. Offering a fun and stable poker experience, Absolute Poker will be around for years to come continuing to provide plenty of online poker action.

Software & Graphics (6)

From a practical stand point the graphics are good and the software is fast. By no means is the software flashy or exciting but the playability is excellent. The audio can get a little annoying after awhile featuring some less than pleasant noises that usually end up getting turned off. The play statistics are very good and the software has note taking built right in so you can record your opponents habits at the table. Overall the software and graphics have a little room for improvement but are still very good featuring great playability.

Game Variety (6.5)

Good, featuring the industry standard in games offered: Hold’em, Omaha and 7 Card Stud in both Hi and Hi-Lo. Absolute Poker fails to offer some other popular poker games including draw poker, crazy pineapple, etc. There are Hold’em games ranging from 6-handed up to 10-handed in no-limit, pot-limit and fixed-limit. The stakes vary from $50/$100 all the way down to the micro-limit levels. Despite all the games offered Hold’em is defiantly the favourite accounting for most of Absolute's traffic.

Ring & Tournament Traffic (6)

Absolute doesn’t boast huge traffic numbers. You can expect to find anywhere from 1,000 to 2,000 real money players online during peak hours. Most of the action is in the Hold’em section with a good percentage of tables dedicated to short-handed play for you action junkies. Tournaments are offered in almost all available games with Hold’em the clear favourite looking at the numbers.

Rake (5.5)

Featuring a “No Flop – No Drop” policy like most online card rooms meaning that if a hand does not advance past the first round of betting no rake is taken. Absolute Poker's rake is amongst the industry average overall. The rake is about 5% at all levels with a maximum rake of $3 on every table.

Soft Competetion (6)

There’s always plenty of action on Absolute Poker but the loose tables are a little tricky to find at the $2/$4 levels. There’s lots of wild action from $1/$2 all the way down to the micro-limits but anything higher than that and you're most likely to be up against slightly tougher competition. A lot of the fixed limit games seem to boast tougher competition than the no-limit tables but overall the play is a little more advanced than some of the other online poker rooms.

Promotions & Bounses (9)

Absolute Poker currently offers a 100% bonus of up to $100. No Bonus Code is required to receive the bonus, the bonus is automatically given by using our links. Receive a sign-up bonus up to $500 if you use a Neteller account! Absolute Poker scores a little lower in some categories but the juicy promos and bonuses are what makes playing on Absolute really worth while. Absolute always offers a seemingly endless supply of new and exciting promotions, give-aways and tournaments every month. You can even turn play chips into cold hard cash. Earn $10 million in play money and Absolute will deposit $50 real money into your player account!

Support (7)

The support at Absolute Poker is a little sub-par compared to some of the other online card rooms. Currently they do not offer 24/7 telephone support. All inquiries are handled by email but feature great response times. Absolute Poker boasts an in-depth website which covers a wide array of issues and FAQs.
