Summary (8.2)
Pacific Poker is one of the internet's primer online poker destinations featuring some very
impressive real money traffic and wild action at plenty of tables. Pacific Poker is teamed up with the largest online casino in the world Casino-On-Net. This provides for a lot of wild and loose action due to all the casino customer traffic
especially at the newly added No-Limit and Pot-Limit cash games which were launched in January. Pacific Poker is a great
online choice due to the loose action alone, the view-flop-percentages on the Fixed-Limit Hold’em usually ranges from
60-80%! The No-Limit games normally hover around 40-50%. Like most of the online card rooms, the traffic is mostly
concentrated to Hold’em. The software is a little sub par and the graphics leave a lot of room for improvement, a small
price to pay to sit at those oh so juicy tables at Pacific Poker. They also help make up for there less than impressive
software with the awesome promotions and reward programs offered including hefty sign-up bonuses and free-rolls.

Software & Graphics (7)
The software and graphics leave a lot to be desired. Even after several upgrades they
still are a little sub-par. Pacific Poker has greatly improved the software function and ease of use
providing all the advanced play buttons and new note taking support. It is thanks to the loose action
and great promotions and rewards which drive the massive poker traffic. One major feature missing at
Pacific is multi-tabling, but this factor probably helps drive the wild action with impatient players
mixing it up a little too much. Overall the software and graphics are a little sub-par but not enough
to keep you away from all that action.
|
Game Variety (6.5)
The game variety at Pacific Poker is average, featuring all
your favourites including no-limit and pot-limit Hold’em, Hi and Hi-Lo versions of Omaha and 7-Card-Stud.
They also offer 1 on 1 heads-up tables and even feature micro-limit action down to $0.05/$0.10.
There is no high limit action on Pacific Poker as the maximum limit is $15/$30 in most games.
|
Ring & Tournament Traffic (8.5)
Pacific Poker has become a world leader when it comes to real money ring game and
tournament traffic. The traffic is concentrated towards Hold’em fixed limit ring games and tournaments.
Expect to find upwards of 3,500 real money ring game players at peak hours. Pacific Poker also features
good tournament traffic in all the games offered including Hold’em, Omaha and Stud with upwards of 6,000
real money tournament players during peak hours. Growth has been tremendous over the last 12
months due to aggressive advertising campaigns and fat bonuses.
|
Rake (5)
Pacific Poker features a “No Flop – No Drop” policy like most online card rooms (meaning that if a hand does not advance past the first round of betting no rake is taken). Pacific Poker's rake is amongst the industry average overall with some better than average rates at the micro-levels and higher stakes action. A maximum of $1 is taken out of pots at the $1/$2 levels. Below the $1/$2 levels Pacific Poker takes less than $1 providing low-limit players a very attractive rake rate. The rate calculation at the $2/$4 and above levels are similar to most other online poker sites.
|
Soft Competetion (7.5)
Due to the association with Casino-On-Net there seems to be a never ending supply of flop crazy wild players looking for action. The view-flop-percentage at the $15/$30 levels has been known to reach up to 80% which is virtually unheard of in the online poker world. Pacific Poker can be very lucrative for your above average player offering tons of action in Hold’em and Omaha Hi-Lo. The supply of fish seems endless at Pacific Poker.
|
Promotions & Bounses (8.5)
Pacific Poker currently offers a 25% bonus of up to $100. No Bonus Code is required to
receive the bonus, the bonus is automatically given by using our links. Pacific Poker offers
tons of satellites into the UK Poker Open 2 a nationally televised event
with over $1 million going to the winner.
Pacific Poker also offers one of the best player
loyalty
reward programs in the industry.
|
Support (8)
Pacific Poker offers good email support with decent response times. They feature telephone support but it is not live support and is know to be somewhat painstaking so stick with the lightning fast email support. There have been a few complaints about blocked accounts taking too long to be renewed but overall the feedback is generally quite good.
